Hi,
I have an older mini running OS X 10.9.3 that I am trying to use as a iTunes server. It's being run headless so I typically just click on it in Finder and "share screen" to control it - I've been doing this for months now as it also does some other scheduled tasks for me.
However I've noticed if I leave iTunes open so the other Macs/Apple TV can access it once it goes to sleep, I can't reconnect by clicking on it in Finder. It still shows in Finder, but once I click on it I get the beachball and then it disappears from Finder and it is still sleeping (the white light on the mini is still flashing).
Is this something that is just a bug or am I doing something wrong?
I tried using my Synology NAS unit as an iTunes server (as it has an app for that) but an Apple TV can only see a iTunes library via Home Sharing via an actual iTunes client....
