Lose synced calendar data if I do a security wipe?

Hi everyone,

I have an iPhone 4 and I have my iPhone calendar (and Pocket Informant) data synced back and forth with Google Calendar.

If I do a security wipe on my phone, will that also erase all data on my Google Calendar online?

Wasn't sure if I was posting this in the right section.

No. Your calendar info in google calendar will remain intact online, even if you wipe your iPhone.

Great thanks! Do you know why that is? To me it seems that erasing everything on the phone would then to gcal and delete everything there as well.

Because all your calendar information is in the cloud (specifically the 'Google Cloud') and won't be deleted by just erasing your phone.

It's kind of like how you use the mail app on your iPhone to look at your email right? Well, if you erase your phone it's not like all your emails get deleted. When you log into gmail they are all still there were you left them. It's the same with your calendar, simply log into google.com/calendar and you will see all your calendar information there.
