It's not really a mavericks issue but everyday I'm losing a mb here and a mb there from my ssd. Even if I clean the browser cache after use. I never get back the full amount.
It doesn't sound like much but I've a 128gb ssd with 112 gb of space. Now this space Is slowly going down it started after upgrading to mavericks with 112.35 gb it's now down to 112 gb. Again doesn't sound like a huge deal but if this were to continue it would be.
Anyone any ideas where there small amounts could be slowly going to on a regular basis

Do you have Time Machine turned on? If you do, that space is being used by Time Machines local backups and you can ignore it. If you need the space for user files, OS X will shrink the local backups space.

How much space are we talking about? There are a bunch of system cache files that will build up after a new install also.

not loads its 35mb at the minute its more the fact thats its doing steadily around a mb an hour. im hoping your right and its just needs to settle down

Thought id re open this as im still losing space everyday. Its around 200mb now. I dont have local snapshots on nor do i have a sleepimage file.
yet its still losing hdd space. If i quick look (press space) on my drive it shows a I have more space than the hhd is showing in finder.
Ive ran grand perspective and theres no big files beyond the system ones and app. in fact in finder there are no files above 500mb on my main hdd
