Losing my Blue Dalmatians wires

I have a wireless set-up in my house and want to move my ethernet connected Blue Dalmatian iMac to another room where the ethernet won't reach. So easy I thought 1 x wireless card adapter, 1 x airport card but currently on e-bay the price is close to £100. Is there another less expensive way to make my iMac wireless but avoiding USB wireless dongles as I hear they are problematic.

I had heard that there was a viable Lucent wireless card but how else can i lose my blue Dalmatians wires?

That can't be right. New Airport Express card from Apple is only $79 USD and what you need is the older version.

Look here for an example of what you need.

You must be looking at the base stations not the cards for the computer.

I just realised, you will also need one of these.

It is still a lot less than you have quoted.

Try ebay.co.uk Cards are £60-£70+postage (£5), adapters are £20ish + postage £2. Total around £100.

I can get cards new from a high street supplier (But not from Apple) for around £70, adapters are not avaliable new anywhere.

Everything is cheaper in the US especially at $1.8 to the £1 but most retailers won't ship here :-(
