Hi I appear to have lost all my photo's from iphoto after updateing to high sierra, they were on the icloud but after upgrading to to 50 gig storage from the free 5 gig the disappeared from the cloud I have less than 1 gig in the cloud at this time my photo's were approx 4.6 gig where o where are the pictures can anyone help.

I have a memory stick with some other pictures but highsierra will not let me open these. never had any problems before high sierra and the cloud!!!!!

I realize this doesn't help with your problem -right now-, but...

Here's one example of why I would never never NEVER "trust the cloud" with my files -- especially sensitive or impossible-to-replace items.
Always always ALWAYS keep a "hard copy backup" in your own possession!

The best way to create such a backup is with (either) CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper.

many thanks fishrrman I will be doing just that in future I am hoping to recover some of my pictures from friends and family cheers
