Loss of Pop3 email on iphone after upgrading my 3G to IOS4

Hi

I ungraded my iPhone 3G to IOS4. My in-box on my iphone is now empty. I lost my pop3 emails on my iphone. Is there any way I can get them back? Unfortunately I download automatically from the server immediately. Did anyone else have this issue.
