So I have lossless turned on. And most songs play in lossless but some don’t.
When I click on the song that’s not playing in lossless it’s available in lossless but not playing in lossless. It’s very odd. There’s a definite difference in sound quality. Has anyone else experienced this? And also a possible fix? I’m on 15.2

I have that issue not only with my HomePod Mini but also on my iPhone. They all have Lossless too. I possibly think it’s a bug. I’ve restarted everything and even reset but it still doesn’t work for me. Maybe it’s because some songs don’t include true Lossless.

Any luck with this? Lossless will not play on my HomePod minis now for some reason even though it is enabled in settings.

Have you checked this out?

Unfortunately that’s not really helpful for this specific situation. There is not an issue with Dolby as it plays fine on my regular HomePod. I do not believe the minis even support Atmos so I’m not sure why they would even attempt to load a Dolby track anyway. The lossless badge displayed for a while on the mini and then suddenly stopped playing the lossless tracks.

Not getting lossless on my minis either. It works on my OG HomePods but not the minis.
Ok, so I had a lengthy conversation with Apple support. It appears there is some sort of issue (as usual) specifically with albums that are also available in Dolby Atmos. I have not had issue with my HomePod mini playing lossless if the album is only available in lossless and not atmos. I did finally “fix” the issue by toggling the “Dolby Atmos” setting on and off at least 3 times over a couple minutes in the home settings in the home app. I ended up leaving the Atmos toggle OFF since it’ll only play on the OG HomePods anyway and I don’t think it sounds all that exciting on them. Try this out and see if it works for you as well. I just called them to make them aware of the issue because I didn’t think it was necessarily and HomePod software issue or something they could actually resolve since it only started happening recently without a new update. Apple support did keep the ticket open for future reference so hopefully it is not a problem moving forward. They really need to get their Home game on point as well as their atmos and lossless content switching because this really should not be an issue.

If you buy a speaker the size of a grapefruit, do you really expect a difference between lossless or lossy?
