Hi guys,
Hope someone can help me out there!
Am currently working on a video editing project and the following has happened: Finished the render last night at around 11pm. Needed to make changes today after review and went to re-render. I'm rendering to an external 1TB hard drive using Adobe Media Encoder (the client insisted I use Adobe products so have edited the video with Premiere CS4)
So i get the message that my start up hard drive is running out of space - i have 125mb left on it???!?
Yesterday afternoon I had to reinstall Adobe Soundbooth and the installer said there was 10+ gb left on the external hard drive.
Any ideas????
The only other thing that has happened since then is my girlfriend plugged her iphone 3g-s into it this morning to try and charge it as it has a big line down the screen and won't turn on. whilst it was plugged in it kept causing QuickTime player to hang. could it have somehow copied 10GB onto my hard drive???? if so where would it be living???
1 final question, I have 2 'library' folders on my start up hard drive - i think this may be because I had to install a back up from my previous machine that met a sorry end due to a wine +girlfriend + mbp incident!!! anyway, finder tells me that one of the folders (at the root of the drive and has the library icon on the folder) is 12.28gb and contains 73,286 items. the other one (/system and just looks like a normal folder) is 4.81GB and contains 125,307 items.
very strange!!! can i delete one of these do you think, or should i maybe book a 'genius' appointment?
cheers
david
