lost 3gs! het new 3gs or wait for new iphone (hd)?

hi there people i went out last saturday night and had too much to drink, so i eneded up losing my iphone 3gs, i was and still am really gutted and feel sick that someone is probably playing about with it as i type this. But oh well, the question is shall i buy a new 3gs at the end of may or shall i wait until the apparently new iphone hd is announced on the 7th of june?
i really need a iphone and personally no other mobile compares to the iphone.
what would you do?
