So this is not the first time this has happened to me.
First some Machine Details:
MBP Late 13' 15" Retina. 2.3 GHz i7 w/ 2GB GeFroce GT 750M OSX 10.10.3
LG 40" 4k with HDMI 2.0
I have the screen connected via the HDMI Port.
I had the machine running 4k at 30Hz for a long time. I downgraded the resolution to help with issues in Solidworks running on Parallels. 1080P is the highest I can let it run while modeling or it becomes very very choppy and slow to update. After I was done I went to upscale the resolution in Mac OS and it was gone. I've tried SwitchresX and doing the 165 Mhz Pixel Clock patch and still no luck. I really don't want to swipe my computer again just to get the 4k to work! ..... its getting old!!!
I had this problem once before and a simple P-Ram reset (CMD+Opt+R+P) during start up fixed it.... not this time.
