Lost 5 months of emails from my gmail account

Anybody know what would cause this to happen, and how I can get my last 5 months of email back to macmail? These still show on my gmail app so not entirely sure what happened today? Never had this issue.

**did a restart and they mail came back, weird but okay now...can close the thread
