Lost a hard-disk

I have a G4 running OS 10.2. It was running fine till yesterday, it just crashed on me. I tried using a system drive from another computer, and it works fine. So, I know that the problem is with the hard-disk.

I though of taking the data off of this hard-disk, but I am unable to see it on the other computer. I tried using it as an external hard-drive and also as a slave on the good computer. But it just doesn't show up on the desktop. Is there any way I can restore it?
