I have an extensive Hardwired Airport network with an Airport Extreme acting as a router and various Airport Expresses around the house and property acting as local music servers. After inconsistent operation and numerous dropouts, I ran an ethernet cable to each and performance has been rock solid and a joy to play with by enabling or disabling at will from the Remote app or Pandora.

Problem:
After updating to 7.6, I was poking around one of the Expresses' settings under the "Music" drop down and clicked a button that offered "enable airplay over ethernet". After updating, Airport Utility can't find that express. I tried a soft reset and unchecked that parameter and Airport utility found the Express again but it wouldn't play music.

The AE was working fine with just the other button on that page checked which is simply "enable airplay" but my nature says more is better and i saw the "enable airplay over ethernet" and checked it also. I also did this because the system seemed to lose contact with the other Mac iTunes library in the house and couldn't see the multiple speakers icon when trying to access that library.

Thats as far as I've gotten.
Does anyone know why this button would react this way?

Any ideas??
