<rant>This is getting beyond belief. I bought a PowerBook on the promise of things that just work. So far, in my experience, things just haven't worked. My brand new G4 is as slow as dirt, using an incredible percentage of processor just to play mp3s. It's even more CPU than my old 2001 PIII Acer! Not to mention the other problems I've been having, such as Tiger heating up the PB, things randomly crashing (a lot), and spending one minute to enter sleep mode (and sometimes coming back out of it even when I haven't opened the computer).</rant>

Down to business. Running 10.4.1, on an Erase & Install, I have completely lost all Internet connectivity. Airport AND ethernet. Basically, I clicked on the Airport icon in the menu bar, and suddenly I lost everything. Now when I click, it says that it's turned off. And when I plug in an ethernet cable, it doesn't work either.

However, back under 10.3.9, everything's A-OK. Airport and ethernet work just fine. At least it's not a hardware problem. Whew.

Anyone have any ideas?
