OK....my MBP started out at 4:45 max battery life a year ago. After various Apple updates it dropped down to 3:50-4 hours. My battery lost 26% of its capacity over this time, so I bought a new one, conditioned it, but I never seem to get more than 3-3:15 hours any more with either battery.

clues, hints, suggestions?

Just for reference, how often do you calibrate it?

A year ago you were running tiger... have you upgraded to leopard now? Leopard is more of a battery glutton than tiger was.
