Hey everyone! Just wanted to vent. I lost my Apple Watch Series 6. It’s somewhere inside the house- that was its last known location. It promptly died shortly after because the battery was kind of shot. It’s been 3 months and now even the last known location is gone from the FindMy app. I looked everywhere, moved furniture, vacuumed every last crevice, moved appliances, reorganized closets and drawers. Today I broke down and got a series 10 on sale from Amazon in anticipation of tariff prices. I’m sure I will find my series 6 immediately after the return window closes on Amazon.
FYI series 10 silver 42mm watch has a $90 off coupon for the sale price of $299.

Good luck with the new watch, and yep, guaranteed you're going to find the old one. Still, at least you got a new watch out of it.
Thank you! I’m sure it will emerge at some point. Just can’t go on anymore without a watch. I need to read up on what new options were added to the 10.

Just moved to a 10 from a 6

99-44/100% of the difference seems just WatchOS . . . same physical functionality, but bigger screen, +wH battery (?), larger Storage.

The BOx sensor on the 10 is disabled in software (pending Patent dispute, et al.).

Subjectively, it seems the same to me. Just New :)

Some of the differences may not be immediately apparent. For example when you make a Siri request, your Series 6 would send your voice to Apple's servers in the cloud, while your Series 10 processes it (MUCH more quickly) directly on the watch.

I got the watch today. It’s nice, although it seems a little too big for me- small hands, narrow wrists. I have to say I don’t like the color- I picked silver but didn’t realize it was matte. It looks a bit weird. I would have loved it if they had a starlight option- that was my favorite ever, but I wasn’t ready to buy then. Anyway, clearly a first world problem lol. It seamlessly uploaded my settings from my previous watch and I’m back to tracking my workouts 🎉🙌
I am most excited about the sleep tracking features and the sleep apnea detection. TBD
