Lost applications

Suddenly everything that was in Applications under Finder has disappeared. I have only had this computer for a month Any ideas and is this a problem Most things are under Launchpad

Suddenly everything that was in Applications under Finder has disappeared. I have only had this computer for a month Any ideas and is this a problem Most things are under Launchpad

If you hit command-space and type in the name of an application, like iTunes for example, does it come up and can you launch it?

It sounds like maybe you just deleted the Finder sidebar entry for Applications.

Try this... open Finder then click the Go menu then Go to Folder then paste in the text below and enter. If you see the Applications folder there just drag it over to the left to put it back in the Finder sidebar.
