So, I recently signed up for Directv Now and canceled my home cable, which was with ATT. When I called in to cancel the cable, the rep mentioned that I could get a discount on my ATT internet if I combined my ATT internet bill with my ATT wireless bill. Foolishly, I said "ok" without thinking it through. (Timewarp: In October I traded in two iPhone 6s's for free 7's under the trade in promo, and have been receiving my ATT Next18 credits every month to "pay" for the phones). Anyhoo, my new combined bill shows up and my Next credits Disappeared
After about twenty five minutes on the phone, and numerous repeats of the question, "How did you get these credits in the first place?", I was given a 1 time credit to fix the current bill, with the assurance that a case had been created and kicked up to someone who has the authority to restore the credits to my new account (apparently only a select few individuals can institute this particular credit). Has this happened to anyone else? Also, if you have the free iPhone 7 promo credits and have not combined your multiple ATT accounts, I recommend that you avoid doing so!
