Last night all keyboard click sound stopped including the slide to unlock sound. Volume was all the way up. I tried toggling the Settings: Sounds: Keyboard Clicks switch and nothing. It wasn't just the speaker muted since music would play using the iPod App. So I did the following.

Power down/restarted with no sound 2 times.

Reset (Power/Home hold)/restart no sound.

Did the Reset (Power/Home hold)/restart again and then my click sound started working. Any ideas as to why it quite working?

One thing I did find odd is that after power down and even after reset all Apps that were loaded in the multitask were still loaded. Also the Playlist song stayed the same and didn't reset as has always happened with OS 1-3. So the state of the iPhone is still the same after a power off or reset. How is this possible?
