I had a macbook pro, only a year and a half old. Everything was backed up on my time capsule. The hard drive went out on it at the same time as the logic board... weird, but no worries, it was under warranty and everything was backed up.
So. I go get my new laptop today, restore everything on it from the time capsule. I notice a few programs are missing, apparently due to compatibility issues. (If the software isn't compatible with OS 10.7.2 it won't be moved over.) No big deal, it's mostly free stuff fire fox, google chrome, google earth.
Here's my problem:
I use MAMP to program PHP. To run a PHP file it has to be located in a sub directory of the Application MAMP. MAMP was not transferred over because it was not compatible. So I've lost years worth of project work. Countless hours gone.
I've dug into the time machine, but no luck there, apparently my new laptop has overridden my previous backups... so far as I can tell.
When I enter the time machine, there is no history before today.

ANY help here would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you in advance.
