Lost dock animations after SL graphics update

And lost my Dock animations. what can I do..when I start an application from my dock it doesn't bounce anymore or show the little bubble under the icon to show that it is open. I have the bubble under the finder icon but nothing else

Have you tried the usual troubleshooting. Restart. Resetting PRAM. Also do you have any haxies installed to change the look and feel of the Dock?

Did you check your settings? I ask this because perhaps after the update the settings may have gone back to default.

No hacks to the dock, i checked the settings in the system preferences and doesn't look like anything has changed. Under the dock section everything looks normal.

after another reboot all seems to be normal again
