Lost Firewire Ports

I think I need a tech for this one. I had an AC accident where an ac plug
prong touched and shorted to the handle on my G5. (lucky me) The computer seemed OK til I discovered both my Protools interface, and my ext. f/w drive
wouldn't show up or mount. How screwd am I now? New board? Ideas?
