Lost: All my OS X fonts
Description: Fonts
Reward: negotiable

I lost all my fonts!
Is this normal? Did they pack up and leave for Hawaii???

Does anyone know where I can find them. All i have now is some boring standard ones :X

are you using any kind of a font manager? (Suitcase, Font Explorer). these programs move fonts in and out of the font folder to manage fonts; maybe they are not gone but just somewhere unexpected.

OMG, I'm serious! In some countries it must be an offense to steal fonts!

Yesterday they were all there and then, after waking my mac up the next morning, they were gone:eek:

I know that a Font manager couldnt've stolen them 'coz there isn't one on this computer.

I've also checked all of the obvious places, sofa, behind the mac, under the door, the garden but they're just gone!=

I presume you have checked FontBook hasnt messed with them?

Is it not possible to reinstall them from your start up disk?

The usual cause for documents going missing is that the username has been changed, a new user account set up, or some of the Unix system files or folders on the machine have been renamed and thus made inaccessible.

Please tone down the comedy, and help us by telling us what changed or was installed or happened to the the machine immediately prior to the symptom of the fonts not being visible. It did not do this on its own...

This is all I have in my FontBook, I has MS word and some other fonts installed. But in all my apps the fonts are also gone:( I havent played with unix/filesystems/installed anything recently. It's all just...gone.
