Lost Forever?

Hey all,

I just purchased a new iPhone and the Apple Store set it all up for me. Before I went home, I took some pictures with it which worked fine, but when I got home and plugged it into iTunes, I accidentally clicked "backup from old iPhone", and once I did that, it of course replaced all my new photos with my old ones.

I'd really like to be able to get the photos I recently took back, but I think they're gone forever. Is there a way to get them back?
