Lost functions after restoring from time machine backup

I restored my new iMac using a time machine backup made on my MacBook. The time machine backup took away functions such as two finger scrolling on the magic mouse, sleep, and adjusting brightness. Also, when I click on my volume increase key, it goes to the dashboard instead of increasing the volume increase key.
