Hello All,
The inevitable (somewhat) has happened and I lost my phone as someone stole from my jacked side pocket in a Market. I realised it some 2 min later but by then the phone was switched off. Turned on lost mode right away. Now some 4 hours later the phone location was pinged on my find my (although the phone was still off I believe) and this kept happening for the next two days. Only problem is that the location it is sharing is some 2-3 hours delayed and hence it seems almost useless information as the thief moves away in those locations. Any tips and suggestions would be really helpful. thanks

How do you know it is delayed? If the thief dares to turn it on again it will update. More than likely your iPhone has already been scavenged for parts.

So the iphone was sending location even though it was switched off by pinging with nearby ios/mac devices. But whenever we got the notification about its location, it says that the phone was seen at this location two hours earlier.
