I just found an Iphone under the snow here at the ski resort, and it actually works! I cannot unlock it as the passcode is unknown to me. And I cannot gain access to it via itunes to find out any info about who the owner is?

What should I do?? I do not wish to keep the phone, and would like to return it if I could find out who it belonged to, but there is no way to find out any info about the possible owner without gaining access to it??

I can read that it is model # A1303

ANybody out there that can give me a clue??

Thanks,

Randy

Hi,

Your not meant to access it hence the 4 digit passlock code.

If they have mobileme and findmyiphone activated they may send the phone a message which you will be able to read, or wipe it clean of data to protect their security. Also they will be able to see where the phone is on a satellite map.

Either hand it into the site resort manager or the police station so that the rightful owner can be reunited with their phone.
