Lost line of pixels in retina display

I took the photos with my 3GS
My provider has told me that they will replace it, but not for weeks as they have people on their waiting list for new phones.... Frustrating as the line kind of flickers when you do things and it gives you a headache after a while.
I called Apple and they kept asking me questions suggesting I've broken it somehow. It's been nothing but beautifully cared for since purchase.
Oh well.
