Lost mouse control

Hi

Help - need advice on how to fix scroll down on the mighty mouse's little spinney wheel - I can scroll up, left and right but not downwards.

I don't think I switched anything off and the mouse preferences seem to be ok.

This is a known issue with the Mighty Mouse. As the mouse gets older, the ability to scroll down becomes unreliable. You may be able to fix it by rubbing the ball vigorously with a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or finger oil. It didn't work in my case, but some people seem to have had luck.

Sadly, Apple can't even catch up to the days of the ball mouse 10 years ago, when the balls were actually removable so you could clean them properly from time to time.

This is a known problem to the mighty mouse...Let just say the mighty mouse has a very short life span..
