This has been happening to me frequently recently; roughly once every two days. My Dock will go wonky -- instead of magnifying (and then shrinking) the app icons on the Dock as you run the mouse across, it will just magnify the first icon my mouse rolls over and stay that way as I drag it across the other Dock icons.
At the same time, my mouse (external bluetooth) and my magic Trackpad lose the ability to perform a right-click. This makes my work basically useless. I've tried restarting the dock from Activity Monitor to no avail. The only way to resolve the issue is to reboot my computer, which is a nuisance I never had to reboot my MacBook Pro this much before.
I have a 13" Retina MacBook Pro (2014) running OS X 10.10.3.
