I opened iTunes 7.2 to find playlists listed in the sidebar but no songs. Completely missing. Library, podcasts, everything is empty. The only thing I can access is the store. I tried dragging the Music folders back into the app but it won't accept them. I do have an iPod with almost all my music, but what happened to the existing stuff on my iMac?

Same thing happened to me on my Macbook Pro. I tried repairing permissions, and it found some things wrong with iTunes files. But that didn't fix it. You could try that first.

What I eventually did was delete the iTunes app and download it again from apple.com. All is well. :)

Got a new iTunes, but there is a conflict with UNO theme that doesn't allow the songs to appear in the window. Got it fixed.
