Hey everyone,

This evening when I was travelling back home on the train, I misplaced my iPhone and left it somewhere on the train. I'm not too sure where it went; the person who I was sitting with checked the seat but couldn't find it. I have contacted the rail service and filled out a lost and found form as well as called O2 to block the number.

Is there anything that Apple can do at this stage? I'm missing it already.

Thanks everyone.

P.S: Forgot to mention that my contract ends next month.

Unfortunately, Apple won't do anything about it.

Get a new SIM card and get a new iPhone. If somehow you get the old iPhone back, get your carrier to unblock the IMEI and sell it to recover from financial damages.

Use a dumbphone until the next gen iPhone comes out. Or renew your contract with something at that level (ie. SGS2). I hate to say this, but filing a lost-found form works for something that's been lost, iPhones get stolen :(

I know that indeed. I'm absolutely devastated.

When do we expect the next-gen iPhone to come out?

Apparently it's been pushed back, and is expected to be out in Fall (around September). The only phone that would compete against it would be the SGS2, try it out see if you like it. Or perhaps ask your carrier if they would lend you a phone in the meantime... shrug.

Sorry for your loss!

There isn't really anything you can do.

O2 should send you a new SIM free of charge which can be put into any compatible phone.

You'd have to buy a new iPhone or other phone.

Do you work for samsung? Your really pushing the SGS2.

I'm pretty sure the OP wants an iPhone.

OP if I was you I would just buy the iPhone 4 and be happy.
