lost my sounds

I have an almost 2 yr old iPhone. I keep up with the updates syncing it weekly to iTunes on my MacBook Pro.
Suddenly yesterday, my phone won't ring, I can talk and hear and call, but there is no ring. I have no click when I type, I have no sound when I put the iPhone in the charge/sync cradle, and there is no sound when I get a txt message. Any thoughts how to relieve this situation. All seemed to start after an in car call that I made where it used the bluetooth on the car. Not sure if that changed something inside or not.

When I'm connected by bluetooth in my car I get no sounds like text, lock, unlock etc so maybe something has not switched back from BT connection. I would try connecting again to car make a call and then disconnect, turn off/on, if not then maybe restore
 
If I restore back to default, do I lose everything on my phone??
If so, then how do I get it all back??? Just resync??
