iPhone 12 Lost old Samsung galaxy...switched to Iphone 12. Anyone know how to recover data??

Lost S8 that I backed up to the samsung cloud quite frequently. With the new Iphone12 can't seem to find how to download contacts and such (store assistant is struggling too). Anyone have any good ideas or know what accounts I should be trying to access the samsung cloud? Thanks!!

What I have found is that on my Mac I am able to log into the samsung cloud where my backups are (and very recent). I'm trying to figure out how to get it from there to the Iphone if that helps

You might need to log into a samsung account in a samsung phone and then reset your iphone and import the contact and txt message that way. If you store everyone on google account then you can pull the contact via google account.
