I very much like listening to Audiobooks on my iPhone 5s. The books are fairly long, and some are so long that they are divided into parts of 50 - 150 mb each, sometimes even 200 mb or more. My method of obtaining them has been to download them to this MacBook Air, and then transfer them to the iPhone. However, before long this MBA was warning me that I was running out of space on my hard drive. I noticed that my collection of Audiobooks was taking up 9+ gb. on my hard drive, so copied them to an external drive, and then deleted them from this hard drive.

This has had the unfortunate consequence that most of the Audiobooks no longer appear on my iPhone at all, and those that do are all missing 1 or more parts.

How ought I to go about putting this right ? I ought to mention that I use Time Machine, so could if necessary make use of that.
