Hi everyone,

I'm afraid that I misplaced my OSX Reinstall Disk that came with my Mid2010 MBP. I think that they were version 10.6.3. I have a copy of Snow Leopard that I purchased for an older iMac (Early09) that is the new boxed version of 10.6.3. My question is will this disk work for a reinstall of Snow Leopard onto my MBP? Or is it as specific as builds within a 10.x.x release?

I know that I could save a disk image of the iMac and put it on the MBP (iMac is upgraded to 10.6.6 now), but I have several activated products; Adobe; that are only used on the iMac. So, I don't want to have to clutter the MBP by uninstalling those from the image.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I was able to get mine replaced by Apple. They charged a small fee, I got it in two days.

How much was it? I always wondered that...
And can you go to apple store or you called up apple customer service?
