Lost partition

I installed a larger SSD on 2012 mini recently. I connected the old SSD via a usb and did a transfer once Cataline was installed. What I've discovered, beside not having an working time machine, is a second partition is gone. I've booted from the original SSD drive without finding and I'm unable to access time machine to determine when it disappeared. Has anyone else run into this issue?
