Hi guys, i´m really sorry to ask this, but here's the deal:

I never had access to a password in an old white portable mac.

the guy who instaled the osx 10.5.8 left and now i can't install anything here.

My first thought was to reinstall osx, but i have only one disc and i don't know if i can use the same disc for two different macs, both internet connected.

I'm a windows user, recently arrived to mac world.

In windows i couldn't do that, i'm not sure if in mac i can.

Please help:(

There is provision to change passwords in OS X, when the machine is booted by an installation disc.

What model machine is your white portable?

What is OS version of the single install disk you have?

Just a thought- try logging on without any password. It could well be the person who did the install left the password field blank.
