The two iPhone 3G S we restored from the most recent backups transferred everything but lost all the passwords (email, wi-fi, etc.) We've had to manually re-enter the passwords. Is this normal behavior when upgrading to the new iPhone from a previous generation's backup? We've restored the original iPhones from their own backups a few times and have never encountered this problem.

I had exactly the same issue, but it wasn't a big problem for me, it took seconds to re-enter the passwords.

Thanks. It's kind of annoying because I had a number of passwords entered at friends' houses to use their wi-fi and I don't even know what they are. I'll know better to record them under their contact info from now on.
