So I lost my phone this weekend and as soon as I realized it 10 mins later, I immediately used Find My Iphone and the phone was already turned off (I had 90% batt life that night). So I immediately put it in lost mode but did not wipe it right away. I had a complex passcode enabled on that phone.

The next day the phone was turned on for a few minutes and located outside the city. The lost mode went through and after I saw this I immediately pushed through a remote wipe but the phone had already been turned off again. Since I had a backup phone ready and I needed use of my phone, I switched the number to my backup - therefore disconnecting the service on my lost phone (I think).

The remote wipe is still pending at this moment, but I just want to know - is the info on that phone safe? I have nothing critical on it (trade secrets, etc.) but I just want to know if the contacts on that phone are safe. I just don't want the thieves to go through the addresses of my friends and family and robbing their houses, etc.

A remote wipe would have given me some peace of mind but unfortunately i hesitated since I wanted the phone to be tracked after I first lost it.
