From what I understand Snow Leopard does not have iLife which is where those options were...but is there any way I can get those options back in iPhoto? Thanks.

Did you buy a copy of iLife '09 or did it come on your computer? If it came on your computer, there should be a Install Bundled Software shortcut on one of the other of the gray discs. If you purchased it separately you should have a retail copy of iLife '09 which will install like any other piece of software if the requirements are met.
