its really weird...i've tried it in itunes and quicktime w/ no other apps open, but i still get video that putters along. This is on a iBook 900mhz (max ram).

anyone else having troubles?
 
Is that a G3? The TV shows in iTunes are encoded in H264, which is a pretty demanding codec.

Is it sputtering at full-size playback, or also 320 x 240?

both. however i did have better luck last night playing natively in itunes (after a few minutes into the show) rather than quicktime, go figure. yeah, measly g3 here. I was impressed with the quality of video for a 220 mb file (aside from the hiccups).
 
The G3 will struggle a lot more with H.264 than a G4 or G5 would. This is the reason it's choppy.
