Lost Sidebar Icons in Finder

Running Lion

I have my favs checked in the sidebar prefs but they don't appear in the sidebar; only the devices checked appear.

I've looked for :user/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sidebar.plist

no such .plist file seems to exist...well....I can't seem to find it.

anyone?
