So I am very close to finishing the entire series. Season 6.

Remember when Ben Linus summoned the smoke monster? How did he do that? I thought The smoke monster(who recently transformed into John Locke) can't be controlled, or atleast it doesn't seem like he can be. After all he made Ben kill Jacob.

So, how did he do it?

Maybe Ben only believed he was summoning the smoke monster.
