So, my computer crashed a while back - not a huge issue, because I had everything backed up. Only thing is, now that I've gotten enough time to do some recording, I've found out that all of the Garageband software instruments are gone!

I've looked through the Library > Application Support > Garageband folder to see if they were there, but they're not. Nor are they in any of the backups I have (strangely enough).

So, I figured that I would just go ahead and reinstall Garageband from the OSX discs that came with my MacBook - only, it tells me to use OSX Install Disc 2, and then doesn't "recognize" or "find" it (I put in the disc when it asks me to, but it spins twice and then gets ejected).

Does anyone have any other suggestions for what I could do to get the software instruments back? Thanks all.
