It was either late December or early January, when I updated my wifes iPhone 7 to newer version of iOS 11 (don't remember which one). She had a number of saved voice mails from her father (who passed away) over the last few years. When I updated her phone, all but 1 of the voice mails were still there. Unfortunately, by the time she realized they were missing, she had backed the phone up numerous times so there weren't any backups prior to updating, to retrieve from. She normally backs up her phone to iCloud and not her Macbook. I've been trying to figure out ways to help, but have come up empty. Is there anything I may be overlooking that I can do to find the lost voicemails?

Instead of using Visual Voicemail, try calling her phone number with her phone (this will call her voicemail). If she’s set up a voicemail password, you’ll need to enter it. You can then go through the prompts to listen to the voicemails, and check if they are there. Perhaps they will still be in deleted voicemails.
