I lost my over in Spain and "find my" says it's in the Barcelona airport, but they say they can't find it and no one turned it in. It say erasure pending? Does that mean if someone turns it on and connects it to the internet that it will be automatically erased? I Bought another watch but I want tone sure that my date on the lost one is deleted.

Yes, if the finder powers it up and it connects to the internet (i.e., the watch can talk to iCloud), it will be erased. Assuming you had a passcode set on the watch, I wouldn't be overly concerned. (without a passcode, a bad actor could presumably power up the watch in an area with no cellular or wifi connectivity and get to your data, though even that seems unlikely)
