MBP brand new. OS X 10.6.8.

So when I wake-up my MBP this morning it does not go online. I look and it does not even show the 'remembered/preferred network' when I click the little wifi signal icon at top of desktop screen. I log out and power down everything (MBP, wifi, modem) power back up and still not resolved.
However it occasionally shows my network choice in available networks, but just as often it not shows.
When I click to join it, it tries for about 5 seconds then says 'connection timed out'.
I am lost for ideas.
Btw: my iPad 2 comes on just fine. Same house, same network, same router, etc.

Thx guys....

Never heard of it here in Canada. Does look like E.T. though.

ET phone home.

Make sure it's running the latest firmware available.

Yep, that's it. lol. I'll see about the firmware issue. Thx.

But while we r on the subject... Do u feel that Apple router is worth the money? Cannot remember it's name, but the flat square shaped one.. I live in china, and they r hard to find here. And expensive. Maybe bit more than 200usd.
