I have been running Windows Vista for several months, using a partition created with bootcamp. Tonight when I start my machine, I only get the option to choose OSX, and Windows is missing in the start-up disk window under system preferences.

What has happened? Does this mean that partition has been lost, or can I recover it?

I suppose I could re-partition it, but I have files on Windows I don't want to lose.
