Hi guys,

I just recently updated to iOS 8.1.1 and I hope to fix the Jetsam event logs (low memory) that cursed my iPhone 6 since iOS 8.0. But after one week of using 8.1.1 I noticed that the bug is not fixed. Still lots of Jetsam events appeared in the diagnostic log. And the battery percentage glitch which jumped 2% randomly sometimes is also not fixed. Reported these bugs for Apple since I detected them in 8.0 and now after 4 updates they are still there.

Anyone else has the same situation?

That is by no means a lot.

yeap just checked mine this morning and all day yesterday with lots of apps open it sent an jetsam event every 10 mins

yeah, still getting them, asked here
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1819940/

ok, updated to 8.1.1 last week.
Recharged my iPhone 4S and found NEW diagnostics and usage data logs just after the charge time done earlier today, (although none for the whole of last week after update.)

JetsamEvent - low memory (but only just restarted phone no apps running?)
ExcResource_aggregated: bug type 185?

Never had these before..

Have submitted them, anyone else have these after charging?

I don't have a single Error Log on my device at all, iPhone 6 64GB MLC iOS 8.1.1

I know it's not necessary but i do a clean install on every update and never have issues, maybe try a clean install..

For me 8.1.1 has fixed my jetsam event (low memory) issue and I'm not getting any of this since 8.1.1.

Also if you go to the individual one, it tells you what app that crashed due to low memory. For me, on 8.1 I had an issue with Clash of Clans (always) and every time I got the jetsam even issue it was always clash of clans. So since then I always force close Clash of Clans after I check the app.

After seeing this thread, I checked mine and found this, are these normal guys?
I found no jetsam but only these,

I know you said, iphone 6, but my iphone 5s had a ton of jetsam events prior to 8.1.1. After 8.1.1 install over two weeks ago, I only have one event in the phones log....and that is a jetsam.

Maybe as other poster suggested, a clean install might help. Or maybe it's a buggy app that is causing the issue.

Hit and Miss by Device
iPad Mini 2 (LTE) - only a couple listed since the update
iPad 4 - only a few listed since the update - more than the Mini
iPhone 6+ - lots. More than one per day for almost every day since the update - issues appear to be all over the place (BeWeather 2, SMS, WebKit, Mail, ...)

I do keep getting these jetsam events guys. Can anybody please tell me if it is all ok?

I've had boatloads of jetsam events with every iteration of iOS8.
8.3 is no different whatsoever in this regard.
They're apparently low memory events and nothing can be done about it. 1GB of RAM is very easy to eat up. So long as your phone isn't crashing left, right and centre (mine is not) just ignore them.

I've had Jetsam events for about a month or so around December last yeah then they disappeared and then came back out of nowhere for about a month or so this March and then disappeared again after that month and aren't there now. Not sure what would explain it since my phone usage is basically the same all along and it doesn't coincide with any iOS updates or anything like that. CoreTime though started showing up though on a daily basis since one of the last 8.2 updates.

I get jetsam events on my iPad Air 2, with 2GB of RAM.

Yeah, I have a heap of Core Time logs too. Not sure when they arrived exactly, but they weren't there on 8.1.2 or before.

Ran out of Ram.
By delving into the event details you can see what the trigger or last event was when these occur. Almost all of mine on my mini are tied to email and Safari. On my 6+ it is predominately messaging and Safari. The biggest notice I get is the offending app will error out (safari) or the app will lock requiring a kill in the task list.

Not sure why I would not have any for a few months and then have a few a day for about a month then nothing for a few months and a few a day for about a month again and then nothing again. Doesn't seem to make much sense when usage is basically the same, doesn't seem to coincide with iOS upgrades or any other updates, or anything like that.

A friend of mine was complaining about storage on his 16GB phone, he had deleted tons of pictures/apps and was constantly running out of space.

Told him it was crash reports, connect it to itunes and sync... BAM, 7GB of free space. The constant crashes is horrendous!

iPhone 6 Plus 128GB I have a bunch of Jetsam events. A lot pertaining to SpringBoard, Backboardd, and mediaserverd. Those are the three most common on my logs. Some others are related to games and I understand that the lack of ram would cause those. On IOS 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2 I had a ton, On IOS 8.3 and 8.4 (Beta) I have had them less frequently.

My 6 has been restarting itself lately with these "jetsam" logs on the diagnostics entries. Is there any way to tell what the offending app is?

pages and pages of jetsam events

I have a iphone 6 plus 128gb and it has already been replaced by apple once because of the jetsam events.

Now, my replacement iPhone is doing the same thing again. I have experienced 3 reboots so far in two weeks and at least 10 pages of jetsam event.

I might have to visit apple store again and see if i can get another replacement. Is anyone else with 128gb model experiencing this issue?

i think we have to wait for ios 9 to come out in order to completely resolve the issue if the rumors are true. iOS 8 is already done

Sorry, I know this post was from a fair while back, but can I just ask what you mean by clean install?

Is that completely starting again every update, or installing the software clean then restoring from a backup?

I'm getting upward of 50 of these logs a day and my phone is respringing and freezing left, right and centre. I've tried a restore from a backup multiple times - I would try a completely new install but I don't really want to lose my messages, settings and data in apps.

While that might end up being the case, there's still at least iOS 8.4 that's on its way to come out sometime soon, so iOS 8 isn't really quite done just yet.
